NM i Stavanger 2003

Divisjon: 3. divisjon, Brass Band
Plass: 16. plass
Poeng: -

Avanti:
Tempo litt langsomt. God klang i starten. P. litt sterkt. I trio er dynamikken bedre. Små intonasjonsproblemer, ellers bra balanse og kontroll.
Three Songs Without Words:
1.:
Greit tempo her. Litt lite dynamikk forskjell mellom ff. og mf. Klangen er litt ”ullen” til tider. Bra musisering.
2.: Bra klang i f. parti i starten. I p. partiet er intonasjonen svak. Dette fører til sprikende klang, særlig i mellom og understemmer. Melodi i euph fint spilt. Utenom intonasjonsproblemer skaper Korpset mye fin musikk og melodistemmene får fram mye fint i denne musikken.
3.: Bra tempo også her. Noen detaljer blir bort. En del vanskelige parti som korpset har litt problemer med. Når dette er sagt er det også mye positivt her; god musisering, gode musikanter og solistiske innslag som blir godt framført!

Lykke til videre!!

Avanti:
A fine sounding band. Well balanced and well prepared. All sections seem to be balanced and playing well as an ensemble. OK march tempo/pulse maybe a bit heavy at times. Good percussion giving a reliable beat.
Three Songs Without Words:
1th:
Ok start, but could have more variation in dynamics throughout, there are many changes you missed. May Morning? Describes “spring” “new life” “freshness”. Again this is too heavy style. The puls and shape of movement was OK.
2nd: Not quite together in intonation in the 2nd part, a pity because the sound is quite good. Some nice individual solos in the quartet, but again some problems with tuning. A little uncomfortable in the pause, but the band returns to it’s fine sound towards the end.
3rd: Nice stat from the cornet setting the scene for the movement. Again some nice band sounds, but spoiled with some uncomfortable bass. There are many good players and groups in the band, but at times the ensemble and tuning is a bit under prepared.
On the whole nice to listen too and great that you play such a piece in NM.

Thanks.
